How Yannis supports keyboard navigation, screen readers, high-contrast typography, and smaller mobile viewports across all 15 tools and directories.

1. Keyboard navigation and focus visibility

Every interactive link, button, form input, ward selector, bank filter tile, and disclosure summary on Yannis includes a high-contrast focus ring when navigating with Tab and Shift + Tab. A Skip to main content link is positioned at the top of every page, and the mobile navigation menu closes cleanly when you press Escape.

2. Screen reader announcements and semantic landmarks

Each page uses semantic HTML landmarks, clear heading hierarchy, and explicit <label> associations on every form control—including province, district, and ward dropdowns on the Nepal Postal Code Finder and institution scope toggles on the Nepal Bank Branch Finder. Dynamic tool outputs, result counts, and clipboard copy notifications use aria-live="polite" regions so assistive technologies announce updated results without stealing keyboard focus.

3. Accessible tables alongside visual charts and directories

On the Gold & Silver Prices page, the historical SVG line chart is paired with a full keyboard-accessible HTML data table so every historical observation can be inspected without relying on pointer hover gestures. Similarly, postal code and bank branch cards present structured text labels alongside one-click copy buttons with descriptive aria-label attributes.

4. Local Devanagari font fallback and reduced motion

Devices missing native Nepali fonts automatically load our bundled unicode-range Devanagari webfont so Nepali script (नेपाली अक्षर) never renders as blank tofu boxes. Animations and transitions respect your operating system's prefers-reduced-motion setting.
