Weeks & Days Breakdown

Clear schedule planning

Automatically converts large day totals into full 7-day weeks plus remaining days for project, visa, and travel planning.

Zero Timezone Drift

Pure calendar math

Calculates durations using midnight UTC calendar coordinates so daylight saving transitions never add or drop a day.

How to count days between two dates

Select your Start date (A.D.) and End date (A.D.). By default, the calculator measures elapsed days (for example, from 10 October to 15 October is 5 days). If you are counting leave days, hotel nights vs total festival days, or an inclusive contract period where both the start day and end day count as full days, check Include both start and end dates in the total (+1 day).

Using the calculator for Nepal visa, project, and academic timelines

Tourist visas in Nepal are commonly issued for 15, 30, or 90 days, where both the arrival day and departure day matter. Checking the inclusive option gives you the exact day-count span across month and leap-year boundaries.

Counting days for banking interest, letters of credit, and contract notice periods

In commercial banking, house rental agreements, employment notice periods (such as 30-day or 60-day notice clauses), and short-term maturity calculations in Nepal, contractual deadlines are frequently defined in exact calendar days rather than calendar months (since calendar months vary from 28 to 31 days). Use elapsed mode when measuring the time interval between two timestamps, and enable inclusive mode (+1 day) when both the start date and end date count as active service or stay days.

Common questions

When should I check 'Include both start and end dates'?

Check it when counting total leave days, event days, or visa stay days where both the first day and the last day are counted.

Does this calculator account for 29-day February in leap years?

Yes. Gregorian leap years (such as 2024 and 2028) are automatically included in the day count.

How can I find the days between two Bikram Sambat dates?

Convert both B.S. dates to A.D. using the Nepali Date Converter, then enter those two A.D. dates here.

Does the start date have to be earlier than the end date?

Whether you enter the earlier date first or second, the calculator computes the absolute calendar span between the two dates cleanly.

Are Saturdays or public holidays subtracted from the day count?

No. This tool counts total calendar days (including Saturdays and holidays), which is the standard basis for visas, interest accrual, and statutory notice periods.
