Mastering half-letters (halant), nasal marks, and complex conjuncts
When writing formal Nepali applications (nibedan), legal notices, or academic essays, accurate conjunct consonants and nasal diacritics are essential. In our Roman transliteration workspace, typing a trailing slash or halant key joins consonants into half-letters, while typing ^ adds the shirbindu / anusvara (ं) as in संविधान (sam^bidhaan) and ~ adds the chandrabindu (ँ) as in गाउँ (gaau~). If a phonetic sequence ever combines two letters you wanted to keep separate, insert a space while typing and backspace the space afterward.
